Dillon Community Events

Saturday, June 6th– Bannack State Park will host a guided trail hike. To adhere to social distancing regulations the group will be capped at ten. On this guided hike, we will explore the flora, fauna, and history or this unique park! Sunscreen, water, good hiking/walking shoes, and appropriate hiking clothes recommended. To access Beaverhead Rock State Park, the turn-off on Highway 41 has no marker. Your phone’s map will bring you close to the park, but the turn-off to the left is a dirt road just past the curve marked to slow down if you are coming from Dillon.

Tuesday, June 9th– A Dillon Community Blood Drive is scheduled from noon to 6 p.m. in the Elks Lodge.  Sponsored by Frist Presbyterian Church, the drive will accept appointments from those calling 683-3696 or 877-258-2825 or going online to www.bloodhero.com and using code “Dillon”. Social distancing will be in place, temperature taken and masks required.  the minimum age is 16 years old (16-17 with signed parental/guardian approval). 

Dillon Public Library Summer Schedule

Thursday, June 4th- 10am-12pm: Summer Reading Kickoff will be held at the BVHD Co. Fairgrounds (Commercial Building). Come join the fun with Fairy Gardening, tooth fairy, and a Book Sale.
Thursday, June 11th- 10am: Local author Ron Carroll will read his book, show you some magic tricks, and be selling and signing his book. Books can be purchased for $13 and include a book and a set of cards (optional).
Wednesday, June 24th– 3pm: Puppeteer Markie Scholz presents “Imagining Dragons” @ Museum Depot Theatre.
Monday, July 20th-  Before 5pm: All Reading Minutes are due!! To be in the top readers category make sure to have all your minutes in today by 5pm!
Thursday, July 23rd- 10am-12pm: End of summer event! Parade will begin at Shopko parking lot at 10am. A Fairytale Ball will be held at the Museum Depot. Lunch, Games, and Montana Renaissance demonstrations.
Friday, July 24th– Starting at 9pm: Movie in the Park. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair. Hang out and watch a movie in JC Park. We will be watching “Call of the Wild”

SCHOOL LUNCH MENU

Deer Lodge Elementary is making available free breakfasts and lunches for the duration of the school closures and now during the entire summer months.  Student from the Elementary and PCHS are invited to participate.  Signing up for each date indicates that you will pick up a lunch for that day and a breakfast for the next day.  Complete one form per family.  The sign up deadlines for each day’s pick up will be 10 a.m. unless you sign up for both weeks at once.  Meals will be available for pick up from noon to 12:30 p.m.
