August, 16thUMW– The University of Montana Western volleyball team will welcome Walla Walla University to Straugh Gymnasium tonight for the Lady Bulldogs 2017 opener; starting at 7pm. Tickets will be available at the door.  For more information, call 683-7419.

August, 21stEclipse– The Dillon Public Library will hold a Community Potluck in Jaycee Park, from 11am to 1pm.  Those with last name starting with letters A-H should bring salads, with I-Q bringing main dishes and R-Z assigned desserts.  The library will provide glasses to view the solar eclipse during the event.  For more information, call 683-4544. 

August, 22ndShow– The Beaverhead County Horse Show will hit the Andrus Arena on the Beaverhead County Fairgrounds, starting at 9am.  It will be followed by a Working Ranch horse Show.  For more information, call 660-1679.

September, 2ndRace– The 12th Annual Duck Race will be starting at the Redder Street Bridge in Dillon at 1pm.  Cash prizes will be awarded to the sponsors of the first three ducks to swim across the finish line. for more information, call the Women’s Resource Center at 683-6106. 

 


DEER LODGE

Aug 15th-20th – TRI-COUNTY FAIR & RODEO – Rodeo at 8 p.m. on Friday. Parade Saturday at 11 with the rodeo at 7 p.m.  Check the Silver State Post for the complete schedule

Aug 17th – FUNDRAISER – Tri County Fair steak dinner fundraiser at 6 p.m. at the Fairgrounds.  Quantities are limited so get there EARLY!

Aug 17th – WINE TASTING – at the Fairgrounds from 6 to 8 p.m. under the grandstands

Aug 17th – Ryan Chrys & The Rough Cuts – 8 p.m. at the Tri-County Fairgrounds.

Aug 20th – DEMOLITION DERBY – at the Tri-County Fairgrounds in Deer Lodge.  Gates open at 5 p.m. and derby starts at 6 p.m.

Aug 26th – Come to Deer Park Golf Course – “Wear Your College Colors” tournament.  Four person scramble with shotgun start at 10:30 a.m.  Call the clubhouse at (406)846-1625 to sign up.
