Kids Mask Making Workshops– The Dillon Public Library will hold a Mask Making workshop for school-age children and their parents/guardians at the Depot Park in downtown Dillon from 10:00 a.m.-noon on Thursday August 13th and another on August 27th. Bannack State Park

  • Fish Event 8/15- Fisheries Technician Lucas Bateman will demonstrate electro-fish sampling during a presentation on the aquatic species of Grasshopper Creek in Bannack State Park at the park’s Group Use Pavilion on August 15, starting at 2 p.m. For more information, call 406-834-3413 or email bannack@smtel.com
  • History Talk 8/22- Bannack State Park’s John Phillips will present a program on the North Overland Trail at the Group Use Pavilion in Bannack State Park on August 22 at 2 p.m. For more information, call 406-834-3413 or email bannack@smtel.com
  • Guided Hike 8/29- Siobhan Warmer will lead a guided hike of Bannack State Park’s Bird’s Eye View Trail on August 29, starting at noon. For more information, call 406-834-3413 or email bannack@smtel.com

Seed Saving Class– Nolan Salix will offer a presentation on Harvesting and Saving Seeds on the lawn of the Museum Depot on South Montana Street in downtown Dillon from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on August 25. For more information, call event sponsor the Dillon Public Library at 406-683-4544

Beaverhead Count Fair– The 2020 Beaverhead County Fair on the Fairgrounds in Dillon will be during the first week of September present a downsized version of its usual slate of events and happenings from previous years due to the pandemic. For more information go to the event’s Facebook page and check the Dillon Tribune as the events draw nearer.

DEER LODGE

August 12th – ATTENTION high school fall sports players and parents – There will be a short meeting for all fall sports athletes and their parent in the high school guy at 6 p.m. for CROSS COUNTRY AND FOOTBALL.  Those participating in these fall sports must be in attendance along with one of their parents.

August 15th – WEAR YOUR COLLEGE COLORS GOLF TOURNAMENT at Deer Park Golf Course.  Wear your favorite college colors and support the Deer Park Golf Course.  Eighteen hole four person scramble with shotgun start at 10 a.m.

The Rialto Theater announced the showing of movies is temporarily suspended until the studios start to release new films.  There will be fresh popcorn with real butter ON SALE at the front doors Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Large size only.  Thank you for your support!
