Dillon’s Upcoming Community Events  

NOVEMBER

Tuesday, November 18th- Nate Hance Piano- The Dillon Concert Association Presents Nate Hance Piano on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 7:30pm at the UM-Western Beier Auditorium. Ignite your imagination & delight your senses! Adults $30; College $15; High School/Youth $10 at the door.

Thursday, November 20th- Pettengill Dam & the 1927 Wise River Flood- The Beaverhead County Museum will host a “Pettengill Dam and the 1927 Wise River Flood” program on Thursday, November 20th at the Depot Theatre, 125 S Montana St. Matt Stanchfield will dive into the captivating tale of the Pettengill Dam and the epic flood of 1927 when the dam decided to call it quits! Prepare for a journey through time with fascinating photos, riveting stories, and all the dam history you can handle! Doors open at 6pm and the presentation will begin at 6:30pm. Friday, November 21st-

  • Southwest Stockman Annual Dinner- The annual Southwest Montana Stockman’s Association will be on Friday, November 21st in the University of Montana Western Lewis & Clark Room on campus. Social hour will begin at 6pm and prime rib dinner at 7pm. Cattle Industry discussion to follow. 
  • Pray for Snow Party- Come “PRAY FOR SNOW” in Downtown Dillon, Montana on Idaho St. There will be a street party in between E Center & E Bannack on Idaho St. Live Music by Lazy Owl String Band, Drinks, and Food! Come celebrate the anticipation of the up coming winter.

Saturday, November 22nd- Winter Craft Fair- The annual Winter Craft Fair will take place on Saturday, November 22nd from 9am-1pm at the Dillon Elks Lodge, 27 E. Center St. Come and support your local folks. 

Thursday, November 27th- Thanksgiving- All Pioneer Federal Savings & Loan locations will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving. 

DECEMBER

December 5-6th

  • Friday, December 5th-
    • Christmas Stroll & Parade of Lights- The annual Christmas Stroll stroll will take place Friday, December 5th in Downtown Dillon. At 6pm at the Court House, Santa will light the Christmas Tree with the help of the children in the audience and then the parade will begin! Enjoy warming barrels, hot cocoa, gift wrapping, cookie decorating and More! Join the parade by picking up your registration at the Chamber or calling. 
    • Festival of Trees- The annual Festival of Trees fundraising event will be held December 5-6 in Dillon, which will benefit the Southwestern Montana YMCA and the Beaverhead Brigade. Family Night and a Silent Auction will be from 5-8pm on Friday, December 5th at the Elks Lodge, 27 E. Center St., during the Christmas Stroll.
  • Saturday, December 6th-
    • Breakfast with Santa- The annual Breakfast with Santa is Saturday, December 6th from 8am-11am at the Dillon Elks Lodge, 27 E. Center St. Enjoy breakfast made by the Dillon JCAs, see Santa and make a holiday craft.  
    • Festival of Trees Gala- The annual Festival of Trees Gala dinner will start at 5pm on Saturday, December 6th in the University of Montana Western Lewis & Clark Room on campus. Tickets for the gala are $40 each or $320 per table of eight people. Tickets are available at The Bookstore on Idaho Street in Dillon. 

Monday, December 8th- RASS Training- Free RASS training on Monday, December 8th from 5:30pm-9:30pm at the Dillon Elks Lodge. A current certificate is required to serve or sell alcohol in Montana! To sign up, call The Dillon Elks Lodge. Please bring your current ID. Walk-ins welcome.

Tuesday, December 9th- Montana Western’s Community Holiday Party- The students, faculty, and staff of Montana Western invite all of Dillon and the surrounding communities to attend and enjoy a free and delicious holiday dinner with desserts and refreshments on Tuesday, December 9th from 4:30pm-6:30pm in the University of Montana Western Lewis & Clark Room on campus.

November 16th – Avon Country Christmas Bazaar from 12 pm to 4 pm at the Avon Clubhouse and Avon Store.

November 21st – Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at the Elks. Doors open at 5 pm. Dinner at 6 pm.

November 26th – PIONEER FEDERAL WILL BE CLOSING AT 1 PM

November 27th – HAPPY THANKSGIVING. PIONEER FEDERAL WILL BE CLOSED TODAY.

November 27th – FREE Thanksgiving Day Dinner from noon – 4 pm at Saint Mary’s Center. Home delivery will be available by calling in an order to 406-498-9522 and leaving a detailed message. Deliveries will start at 11:30 a.m.

November 29th – BINGO at the Elks. Doors open at 5 pm. Bingo starts at 7 pm.
